My Story

Everyone has a story about their life.
Here is mine!

I never remember a time in my life where I was not taken to church. I remember very vividly the look of the church, the smell of the Sunday school classroom, the hard wooden pews, the stain glass windows, my sweet teacher, & chocolate chip cookies and fruit punch. I remember as a young girl realizing that I was lost. I remember the feeling of knowing there was a heaven & hell. I remember the day I placed my trust in what Christ had done for me on the cross!  Believing that he died, was buried  & rose again just so I could have everlasting life. By far the most important day in my life.
Moving ahead many many years at the age of 18 I started dating a young man at our church.
He called me the day after Thanksgiving in 2002 and with a very nervous voice he asked me to go on a double date with him. I agreed! We went to Cracker Barrel for dinner & then to his parents home to watch a movie. He was very polite and quiet! Quite the opposite of me! His older brother called me the next day to "see what I thought" and I told him there was no way it would ever work! He was way to shy, quiet, and he just wasn't my type. His brother said to me "Awe, just give him a chance!"
Well, he called again and we went on another date. I guess you could say opposites attract because we've been together ever since! In June of 2003 he asked my Dad for my hand in marriage and in October we tied the knot!
We had our first child, a girl, in 2005. A few months after she was born I quit my job to be a full-time Mommy! In 2008 and 2010 our boys were born.
Our daughter went to public school for kindergarten and first grade but we knew in our hearts that we wanted to home school. This past year we pulled her out of public school and she is now a homeschooler! The past year as a homeschooling Mom has been trying, fun, exhausting, & rewarding!
This fall I will add another student as our 5 year old will start Kindergarten.
I love my family. I have quite a large one! Lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, there is always someone around & we all live so close to one another! I also have wonderful parents and in-laws. We are truly blessed.
My husband is a hard worker and pastors a small church - Lamb's Way Bible Church.
My mom cooks Sunday lunch every week, we live in the country, and southern charm is alive and well!
I love to make digital scrapbooks of my children, I enjoy shopping, cooking meals, accessories, photography & home decor.
I started this blog to share stories, experiences, and to encourage other women, moms, and homeschooling moms. Everyone's life is not the same. Everyone has different experiences but a lot of times we share the same crazy ordeals and maybe just maybe this blog will help someone out with day to day life!
